VIBRAZIONI

La pellicola Polaroid mi permette una visione quasi onirica del soggetto, pennellandolo di luci e ombre quasi a renderlo irreale, quasi una forma di paesaggio ammantato di mistero. Questi nudi non rappresentano per me semplici corpi, bensì suggestioni che assumono via via le sembianze di statue greche, pitture antiche o dagherrotipi. Forme non svelate che racchiudono qualcosa di segreto, di arcano, un sotteso invito a penetrare la matericità della pelle per scoprirne i reconditi significati, siano essi nudi maschili in tragica tensione, dolci e segrete inquadrature femminili o, ancora, coppie che si uniscono in un intimo e armonico canto. È un linguaggio intenso di vibrazioni, che mi conducono ad esplorare dimensioni oltre l’immagine stessa, ad entrare nella sfera intima e nei pensieri dell’essere umano e a narrarne la poesia.

Tecnica

Queste immagini sono ottenute fotografando il soggetto in diapositiva bianco e nero. La diapositiva viene quindi stampata su polaroid 20x25cm precedentemente trattato, seguendo un particolare procedimento da me sperimentato e perfezionato. Successivamente vengono scansionate e stampate a getto d’inchiostro su carta Moab fine art.

THE TEXTURE OF THE NUDE

Although it has been the subject of the creative photographer's art since the earliest days of daguerreotype, the Nude is certainly not an easy subject to approach: one risks lapsing into superficiality, or slipping towards the vulgar, or simply following others with a sense of deja vu. Euro Rotelli has, unlike so many of his contemporaries, chosen a different path. His strength lies in his highly original technique with combines so well with his eye for composition and the careful attention he pays to the sweeping harmony of the whole. His imaginative use of polaroid film enables him to obtain images whose surface texture recalls that of skin, while creating an atmosphere both delicate and intriguing. In their poses, the bodies hark back to the classicism of ancient Greek statues, this analogy being reiterated by a slightly ethereal vision and the fragmentation of the surface as it is transferred onto paper, making the viewer think of stone and marble weathered over time.

It is the gentle balance of all these traits that brings the Nudes of Euro Rotelli into an intimate dialogue with the onlooker, drawing us in with their essential beauty and fascination.

A travers l’appareil photographique, je communiques mes impressions et émotions. J’essaye d’interpréter ce que je vois, ce que je ressens à travers tout et comment je vis ces situations spéciales.

En utilisant les techniques Polaroïd, j’ai pu réaliser pleinement ce que je voulais. Ce procédé personnel m’a permis de prendre ma place dans la photo. Je peux reproduire les sensations que je ressens face à un sujet qui me charme, un paysage, un objet ou ses particularité comme un visage.

Dans Vibrations, le film Polaroïd m’offre une vue de rêve du corps en le peignant de lumière et d’ombre presque irréellement. Je crée des images dont la surface est caractérisée par une délicatesse presque tangible qui me rappelle la sensibilité de la peau.

Pour moi ces nus ne représentent pas uniquement les corps qu’ils sont, mais m’offrent un aperçu de sculpture, de travail de grand maître ou daguerréotype de forme mystérieuse, pas totalement révélée mais secrète, presque l’invitation à pénétrer un mystère comme ces nus masculin assimilables aux anciennes statuts grecques ou le point de vu féminin doux et secret ou encore d’un couple qui se joint dans une dans un chant intime et harmonieux.

Toutes les images me communiquent un intense et vibrant équilibre.

C’est ce que je ressens quand je crée et je vois ces images.
